The structure of the 4-rope multi-petal grab is mainly composed of the following parts:

Balance frame: The balance frame is an important part of the grab, which is used to support and balance the structure of the entire grab.

Upper Bearing Beam: The upper bearing beam is the superstructure of the grab, which is used to connect and support other parts of the grab.

Struts: The strut connects the upper and lower support beams to play a supporting role and ensure the stability of the grab.
 

Lower bearing beam: The lower bearing beam is the substructure of the grab, and together with the upper bearing beam, it constitutes the main frame of the grab.

Up and down pulley block: The pulley block is the key component to realize the opening and closing of the grab, and the opening and closing of the grab is controlled by the winding and release of the wire rope.

Bucket flap: The bucket flap is the part of the grab that is in direct contact with the material, usually composed of multiple pieces, which can be opened and closed according to the shape and size of the material to adapt to different grasping needs.

Wedge shell: The wedge shell is hinged with the head of the grab, and the wire rope on the lifting drum drives the grab to rise and fall through the wedge shell.

Lifting reel and opening and closing reel: The lifting reel controls the rise and fall of the grab, while the opening and closing reel controls the opening and closing action of the grab.

Wire rope: Four wire ropes connect the crane and the grab respectively, two of which are used as support ropes and the other two as opening and closing ropes to control the opening and closing and lifting of the grab.

How it works:

The reclaiming action of the four-rope multi-petal grab is controlled by the lifting drum and the opening and closing drum on the crane.

The ends of the two wire ropes wound on the hoisting drum are fixed on the wedge shell of the grab head, and the two wire ropes wound on the opening and closing reel are wound between the grab head and the pulley of the cross beam by the guide wheel, and the opening and closing of the grab is controlled.


 

When taking the material, the grab descends to the pile in an open state, and then the lifting direction starts to open and close the reel, under the action of the grab's own weight, the grab jaw plate digs into the material, after the grab is completely closed, the lifting drum and the opening and closing reel are started at the same time, the full load grab is lifted to a certain height, the crane is started to move the grab to the unloading position, the opening and closing reel is opened and closed in the direction of the decline, and the grab is opened and unloaded.
