FAQ
1. How do I know what size to order?
Four ways.
1) Send us the drawing if you have one;
2) Measure the size of the sample if you have one;
3) Send us a sample if possible;
4) Look closely at the chart; the retracted length must match what you have; the extended length may vary slightly.
The rod size is the shaft that moves in and out; you can see and measure that; the bore is the inside of the main housing that you can't see or measure unless it's apart. Order mainly by length, not bore and stroke, then get the rod size as close as you can, and the bore size should work out right.
2. I have a sample on hand, how do I know what size?
Measure the outer diameter of the cylinder, then measure the length between pin holes (with the center rod pushed into the cylinder) to get the approximate push/pull length, and then measure the diameter of the push/pull rod. If you have a pin in the attachment points, measure the diameter of the pin (usually 3/4 inch or 1 inch diameter).
This will give you a reading of something like a cylinder (3 inches inside) for 3 1/4 inches outside, type of attachment points, size of pins, and overall push/pull length (50 inches). The cylinder may be a 3-inch cylinder with 1-inch pins and be 50 inches overall, and maybe then you can choose different lifting, pulling, or pushing weights like 5000 pounds, etc. This is only an example of cylinder measurements; they can be bigger, smaller, shorter, have a lower weight capacity, etc.
I hope this helps you out.
3. What is the difference between double-acting and single-acting cylinders?
Double-acting cylinders have ports at each end and are supplied with hydraulic fluid for both retraction and extension. Single-acting: hydraulic fluid enters through a port at one end of the cylinder, which extends the rod using an area difference. An external force or gravity returns the piston rod.
4. What colors are available?
Red, black, and others as required.
5. Can we print our own logo?
Yes! We accept OED.
6. Do you have a quality control system?
Yes, we have a Strict Quality Control System from raw material to the final finished products to the customer. The 6S and ERP management systems are rigidly implemented throughout our whole company. Our factory is an ISO9001 and CE-certified manufacturer.
7. How do I choose your cylinder?
If you tell me your specifications, we can choose the best model for you. We also have some regular models. If you provide the product drawings, sizes, and photographs, we can design the appropriate cylinder for you according to your requirements.
8. What is the material of the cylinder tube?
Honed steel, precision finished for extended seal life.
