New I Type Semi-automatic Container Spreader are specialized equipment used for loading and unloading shipping containers and are also a type of crane lifting beam. These equipment are vital to industries such as shipping, logistics and port operations, and play an important role in improving the efficiency, safety and speed of container loading and unloading.
The Type I container spreader is primarily used for lifting and moving standard ISO transport containers. Similar to the adjustable spreader bar rigging and the caldwell adjustable spreader beam, it is usually constructed with a rectangular frame matching the size of the container, with locking devices at the corners that engage the corner castings of the container. These locking devices are called twist locks and are a special feature of the container spreader. When the container is lowered, the twist locks automatically engage, securing the container to the spreader. This allows the container to be lifted and moved safely with a crane or other lifting equipment.
