The telescopic boom crane is based on a pedestal slewing design with hydraulic cylinder amplitude change. It is powered by a diesel or electric motor to drive the hydraulic cylinders to extend and retract, lifting and lowering the cargo for transfer purposes. Low-profile telescopic marine deck cranes are ideal for handling light loads on small vessels.

Compared to fixed jib/boom cranes

1. Fixed jib cranes: Box-type boom structure is simple, low cost, lifting boom arm length fixed inconvenience, fixed working radius, lifting capacity is relatively fixed, its weight is heavier, suitable for work radius is relatively fixed, and repetitive operations of the workplace;
2. Telescopic marine crane: Telescopic boom, compact structure, space-saving, wide range of working radius, with the change of working radius, the lifting capacity with the change, its weight is heavier, the cost is relatively high, suitable for working radius farther away, the lifting height of the higher light load operating environment.
